Chris Lile Volunteers
Recently, State Farm Insurance Agent Chris Lile and a friend of his, Matt Cantwell, volunteered to help a family in need by working with Habitat for Humanity. During Chris’s time volunteering, he had realized how lucky he was to be helping such a sweet and deserving family.
What is Habitat for Humanity
If you aren’t sure exactly what it is that Habitat for Humanity does, they are a global, nonprofit, housing organization that works with local communities all across the United States and approximately 70 other countries to provide people with a decent, affordable place to live.
To achieve Habitat’s goal of providing homes, they work with a vision based on building strength, stability and self-reliance in partnership with families in need. In doing so, the families in need help build their new home alongside Habitat’s volunteers, like Chris Lile.
Habitat for Humanity seeks to put God’s love into action by helping build homes and communities for those in need. However, they work with a non-proselytizing policy. Meaning, Habitat will not work with entities or individuals who insist on proselytizing as part of their work. Habitat will not offer assistance on the expressed or implied condition that people must adhere to or covert to a particular faith.
Habitat is here to help every individual and family, no matter their background, political or religious views. They believe everyone deserves a safe place to come home to and be with the ones they love.
Chris Lile Volunteer Outcome
Chris Lile and his friend Matt Cantwell understood this and decided they wanted to be a part of it. And Miss Irene Avina, the women they helped build the home for, could have been more appreciated. Chris posted on his Facebook page a quick story on how Miss Irene even treated them to a dinner afterwards, “The spiciest Tacos I’ve ever had in my life,” said Chris.

Chris Lile is an insurance agent for State Farm. In 2017 Chris was voted “Best in the World Insurance Agent!” by his customers and The Tulsa World.
